Laparoscopy is a minimally invasive procedure that lets our specialists examine the uterus, ovaries and fallopian tubes through a few tiny incisions, using a slim, lighted camera called a laparoscope. Instead of a large surgical cut, the entire pelvis can be viewed on a screen in real time.
At Life IVF Multan, we use diagnostic and operative laparoscopy specifically within a fertility context — to find, and where possible correct, the physical causes of infertility that blood tests, scans and hormone panels alone can’t always reveal.
It’s frequently recommended once initial fertility investigations come back inconclusive, or when a suspected condition such as endometriosis, scarring or blocked tubes needs to be confirmed and treated in the same sitting.

Many patients go on to conceive naturally once an underlying issue has been identified and treated.
For patients whose difficulty conceiving is tied to hormonal or ovulatory conditions like PCOS, laparoscopy can be a valuable option once medication-based approaches haven’t achieved the desired result. When needed, it’s integrated into a broader treatment plan alongside IVF or ICSI, so nothing is treated in isolation.
